BlackEX Data Collection & Storage Policy (User-Facing)
3.1 Data Storage
blackEX stores user information in secure, U.S.-based or U.S.-compliant cloud environments designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. All stored data is safeguarded using industry-recognized encryption standards, including:
- AES-256 encryption at rest: Ensuring that data stored on servers, databases, and backups is unreadable without proper authorization.
- TLS 1.2 or higher encryption in transit: Protecting data as it moves between user devices, blackEX systems, and trusted service providers.
Access to stored data is restricted to authorized personnel and systems based on job responsibilities and the principle of least privilege. Security controls are continuously monitored and reviewed to reduce risk and maintain compliance with applicable U.S. security and privacy standards.
3.2 Data Retention
blackEX retains personal and operational data only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill legitimate business and legal purposes, including:
- Providing and supporting services such as account management, content delivery, and customer support.
- Meeting U.S. legal and regulatory requirements, including record-keeping, security, and audit obligations.
- Fulfilling licensing, contractual, and audit requirements related to content protection, usage verification, and compliance assessments.
Retention periods may vary based on the type of data, applicable laws, and contractual obligations. When data is no longer required for these purposes, it is scheduled for secure disposal in accordance with blackEX policies.
3.3 Data Disposal
When user data is no longer needed, blackEX ensures it is securely deleted, anonymized, or destroyed using industry-approved data destruction methods designed to prevent recovery or unauthorized use. These methods may include cryptographic erasure, secure deletion processes, or other approved sanitization techniques, depending on the storage medium and data classification.
Data disposal practices are performed in accordance with applicable U.S. laws, contractual requirements, and recognized security standards, ensuring that user information is handled responsibly throughout its entire lifecycle.
